Historic village

We changed our morning routine a bit and started with a morning exercise. After we packed up the bus drove us to the historic village. Where we had a tour of different cultures during the last few hundred years. We learned how they were cutting logs back at the day:

And how they made nails:

Next was a visit of Walmart. It's kind of must stop if one wants to get a proper American experience. Once we stocked ourselves with chips, cookies and other American junk food we drove to a park in Staunton and eat our dinner. Pizza, ice-cream and watermelon. Big thank you to our hosts Bob and Joanne for the organisation.

At 19:30 we headed to a stadium to see a baseball game. Between Staunton Braves and Winchester Royals. Marko one of our scouts had the honour to throw the opening ball.

We filled up the stadium. Players were a bit surprised to have such a big audience at a local game.

Apparently at a baseball game its a custom to have a baseball cap and turn your cap based on how your team is doing. If the shield of the baseball cap is in front your team is wining and if it's turned around your team is losing. Sort of silent cheering.

Our team (home team) Staunton Braves lost lost 7-2. But the whole experience was wonderful so no complaints here. At 22:00 we drove back to Blue ridge took a shower and went straight to bed. Oh and our bus died on our way back. Nothing major. Bus driver fixed a problem in a few minutes.
