Trip home

We landed in Europe at around 5:30 after seven and a half hours of flight. It was still pretty dark. I stopped at a newspaper booth to pick up The Economist and see what happened in the last few weeks around the world. Entering EU went without trouble. I still enjoy that feeling after USA when you come to Europe show your passport and they say welcome back πŸ˜‚

We walked a bit around the airport. Then parked our asses at a cafe with view on airplanes. I was hungry again so I took the liberty of getting a snack and a hot chocolate that I had to mix up myself. Killing the time in Amsterdam:

Once we boarded the plane for Graz we were told that we shouldn't put the seatbelts on yet. Because they are still fuelling the plane. Huh OK. Belt spark can cause an explosion? That's safety one o one. Flight went fine. While I was eating my breakfast I noticed that Dodo and Nika were having a snack with Bieber Theodor. I think he's a toy from Hershey park. The rest were of course asleep.

Landing in Graz and bus pickup. I didn't have much info. Everything they told me was: In Graz bus will pick you up at around 12:00. Aha OK. Thank god that the airport is a size of a football field otherwise I don't know how we would find our bus. Slovenian bus driver was supper nice. He was adaptable and nice. He asked where we are going? Well we have to be in Ljubljana around 18:00 so let's head to the nearest lake and chill out. Once we boarded the bus in 5 minutes that was the status:

We found one lake near the boarded with Slovenia and parked our selves there for three hours while we waited for other groups to land in Milan. Most were napping in the shade while some were dipping toes into the lake. On our drive back to Ljubljana I managed to nap a bit and finished the letters for every participant in our group. It's a really nice gesture to thank everyone for the moments you've spent together over the past month.

In Ljubljana we didn't drive to Dolgi Most yet but we stopped at Hotel Mons. Participants didn't know why πŸ™‚ Once the Milan groups arrived we headed together to our final destination. At Dolgi Most parents prepared a surprise welcome for everyone and even the press crew from national television was there. Hurray. We are home after a month. It went pretty fast.

My mum was so kind that she picked up my gear and drove it home while I said goodbye to everyone. Few tears here and there and we wrapped it up. Then I took the liberty of walking home. One lest starch of legs. At home: shower -> dinner -> sleep.
