🔬 Life Experiment 17, 2021

Hey There.

After a weekend back home, I'm beginning to realise how much I missed my cosy home. The trip was fun and undoubtedly full of surprises and adventures. Still, I'm not really eager to make another 2-month trip until this corona reality show is over.

We sure as hell spent a lot of time in the experimental hall doing measurements and playing with equipment, but a bit of life existed to:

With Germany allowing some limited movement (up to four people can meet), I was invited to a Chinese dinner. Plus, all of my Chinese colleges were already vaccinated several months ago. This makes me wonder what the hell are we doing here in Europe.

Anyway, to the more important stuff. We had the Chinese hotpot dish: supper easy to cook. All you need is hot water with vegetables, and then you throw in the food, so it gets cooked. The wife of one of the colleges bought him the water boilerplate before he left. Apparently, it's super hard to screw up this dish. You know, so he wouldn't go hungry.

My colleges were enjoying my failed attempts at using chopsticks. But I didn't go hungry, since some attempts were successful 😂 For the record, nothing landed on the floor, so I consider the whole thing a win.

Besides food experiments and travel, I experimented with few things when I got home.

🔬 Weekly experiment 16, 2021

As with physical journaling I'm also done with digital productivity systems. Digital apps suck. So I decided to build a Kanban board:

A physical one. It took me 30 minutes, some plexiglass, some tape and post-its and two nails. It's not perfect, but it does the job 😂

Maybe something like that isn't for you, but try building something every now and then with your hands. It's pretty rewarding 🙂

Stuff that's better than YouTube, or whatever else you consume.

We've got 7 atomic essays from this week of the ship30for30 challenge on Thinking Through Writing (TTW):

Who knows, maybe I'll gather those essays into an ebook once I have around a hundred of them.

Oh, and for all the Thininkg nerds. The next Thinking Masterminds event will be about Emotion and Logic in Problem Solving. See the discussion and sign up for the events here .

Don't forget to experiment and cheers till the next experiment.
